Hi There!

My name is Christina Mortimer, and I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and the founder of Clarity Mental Health Counseling. I bring empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a judgment-free approach where all clients can feel truly seen and supported. From a young age, I’ve been naturally attuned to the emotions of others. This intuitive pull to understand people on deeper levels, and to help them make sense of their inner worlds, has guided me throughout my life.

I also know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the therapy room as a client. After more than a decade of my own personal therapy due to my own mental health challenges, I understand the courage it takes to reach out and the healing power of a space that feels safe, validating, and genuinely connected.Outside of my role as a therapist, you can often find me hiking in nature, relaxing at the beach, watching a good movie, or playing with my two dogs, who bring so much fun and grounding to my life. These parts of me help shape the warmth, balance, and authenticity I bring into each session. At the heart of my work is a simple truth: healing happens when you feel understood, supported, and empowered—and that’s the type of space I create for every person who walks through my door.
